Maroon Madness

Maroon, burgundy, brick, wine... no matter what you call it, it's a beautiful shade that compliments so many skin tones.

This is such a beautiful shade for the fall and winter. I was a little "matchy matchy" today, but you could always create a look with just maroon eyeshadow or just maroon lips. Either way, I highly suggest playing around with this color, because I'm sure you will fall in love with it.

Eyeshadow:

1. Primed my eyes with a little concealer to even out the tone and prevent creasing of the eyeshadows

2. I used the Vice palette from Urban Decay and the Too faced Chocolate Bar palette. I used a flat shader brush and went into the color "Sonic" from the Vice palette. I placed that shade all over the mobile lid, and avoided the crease.

3. I used the color "Bondage" from the Vice palette and placed this on the outer "V" of my eye. I blended this shade a little into the crease area as well.

4. As I went, I used the shade "Defy" from the Vice palette to blend the crease out.

5. I then placed the color "Cherry Cordial" on top of "Sonic" because it deepened up the marron shade. The "Sonic" color is gorgeous alone but it was more pink than red.

6. I went in on the lower lash line with the same "Sonic" and "Cherry Cordial" colors and blended very well.

Highlight: Becca "Moonstone" and "Rose Gold" from the Afterglow Palette

Mascara: Bare Minerals "Lash Domination"

Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24hour Waterline in "Legend"

Eyeshadow: "Sonic", "Bondage", "Defy" are all from the Urban Decay Vice Palette, and then "Cherry Cordial" from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Lip Color: Anastasia Beverly Hills "Black Cherry" Lip Gloss
